How does sos-vault Work?

1. The sos report tool collects Linux system logs, configurations, and diagnostics and generates a securely compressed and encrypted archive for safe handling and sharing. It’s widely used by system administrators and support teams.

2. To analyze and work with its contents, you need to upload it into sos-vault first, then decrypt, uncompress, and extract it as a folder. 3. We call this unpacking the sos report file into your vault.

Your vault is your private, secure, and encrypted storage space for saving and unpacking your sos reports.

When you successfully unpack a sos report file, a new case is created, typically associated with the same case number in your Help Desk system.

From this point on, you can apply the advanced analysis tools provided by sos-vault. You can also query our AI Assistant about your system and how to troubleshoot any issues found.
